Colour Study 3 image is an enlarged detail section of the sky taken from the previously unprinted color negative #2 of the old Whitehouse Building, Three Rivers, Michigan. This magnification process reveals the three color dyes used in color negative film to achieve all of other colors in the light spectrum. This mimics Georges Seurat's Pointillism technique of the Neo-impressionism movement that he created in the late 1880's. Viewing up close reveals the more primary colors, standing back away from the image the individual colors blend into a more subtle and emotionally moving gradation.
