Collection: Pansy Viola Flower

The Pansy (Viola × wittrockiana), or Viola, is a flowering hybrid plant found at many garden centers. The term pansy and viola can be confusing as boht belong to the Viola genus and the names tend to be used interchangeably. Generally, pansy refers to the multi-colored, large-flowered cultivars and viola refers to the small-flowered varieties and the wild species. All are beautiful and delicate and mainly found in the Northern Hemisphere but also in other divergent areas such as Hawaii, Australasia, and the Andes. This sumptuous specimen was found at Matteo's mother's home, one of her favorite flowering plants of spring!
